Most of us use the Internet every day and visit a whole range of websites in order to do business, to find out information, for entertainment and to keep in touch with friends.  Many of these websites are visually stimulating, containing many different elements, such as text, graphics, animation, video and programs, as well as a number of sophisticated interactive features.  The internet has become the prime way in which we communicate with one another.  As a result of this, web development is a skill which is very much in demand, not just for people directly developing websites, but for almost anyone involved in developing IT products.

 

 

In this unit, I will investigate the features and uses of websites, and how their components and applications interact with each other.  I will also learn how to design and develop effective websites using a range of tools and techniques.  Finally, I will review my website and consider any improvements that can be made.
